HR manager Kevin Phelps

We are excited to share with all of you that Kevin Phelps has accepted the role of Human Resources Manager with True North Equipment!

Kevin joined us in February and has enjoyed getting to know everyone at TNE. Kevin is excited to continue to work on Talent Acquisition for TNE and expand into all other HR functions. Please help us congratulate Kevin on his new role with us! He is eager to start this new adventure and be out and about to see everyone very soon!

Formally a Career Educator at the Grand Forks Public Schools for eight years, Kevin made the move to True North Equipment in February 2022 and worked as a Talent Acquisition Business Partner recruiting new hires for True North Equipment.

“Kevin’s rich background in education, counseling and career building offers him a great opportunity to Think out of the box in his new role and bring great value to our True North Equipment workforce. His passion for inspiring others, his focus on empowering success, and his belief in others, well qualifies him for his new role. We wish Kevin only the best in his new role.” says John Oncken, CEO of True North Equipment

"Phelps strives to make a difference in everything that he does. Kevin is passionate about people and getting to know everyone. I am excited for True North Equipment and Kevin as our HR Manager to work with all our employees on their paths to success!" Rachel Kmecik, VP of Aftermarket/Human Resources.

Kevin lives in Grand Forks with his wife Brittany (who is an elementary teacher), two girls – Cora (5 years old) and Hadley (4 months old), and two beagles (Tillie and Lilly). He loves the outdoors (hiking, biking, etc.). Kevin adds a fun fact "I’ve never hunted before in my life."

We share Kevin's enthusiasm when he says, "I am excited to continue to learn about the great employees we have and be able to assist them in whatever I can for them to continue to be great. And other duties as assigned."

Please help us in welcoming Kevin to his new role!
