John Deere Connected Support™

Published on September 03, 2021

Calling a technician

That’s why John Deere equipment comes from the factory with technology built in. It senses potential issues and can alert you promptly – anywhere you are. Better yet, your dealer can receive alerts and connect to your equipment remotely for further diagnostics. John Deere Connected SupportTM is always ready to help you and your dealer keep your equipment running — and running better.

KEEP RUNNING

That's always been job one of John Deere Connected Support™. For years, our customers and dealers have used connected tools to remotely monitor and proactively service machines to increase uptime. Exclusive to John Deere, this technology comes factory installed on newer machines and is available for field installation on older machines. To get connected, call your local John Deere dealer.

SERVICE ADVISOR™ REMOTE

Allows your dealer to remotely analyze Diagnostic Trouble Codes in near real time so technicians arrive on-site with the right parts and the right tools to quickly repair your machine.

RESOLVE ISSUES MORE EFFICIENTLY

With Service ADVISOR™ Remote, your dealer can remotely analyze Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in near real time to isolate potential issues with your machine. When it’s convenient for you, a technician will arrive with the right parts and tools to get you back up and running.

Other key benefits of Service Advisor Remote:

REMOTE MACHINE RECORDING

Collects live machine operation data over a period of time to assist with the diagnosis of intermittent issues without the technician being present.

REMOTE PROGRAMING

Allows your John Deere dealer to resolve certain technical problems via your machine’s JDLink™ connection. Updates can also be pushed to your machine remotely to resolve problems and enable enhancements.

CLEAR & REFRESH DTCS

Enable technicians to remotely clear or refresh any trouble codes on a machine, helping them diagnose issues and be better prepared if a service call is needed.

HOW IT WORKS

Connected machines produce and transmit DTCs when an error occurs for a specified period of time (e.g. an elevated sensor voltage). Each DTC has alert values. Once received by your dealer, DTCs are analyzed to identify the potential cause and initiate a solution, which include:

Customer Contact, Possible Service Visit, Remote Diagnostics/Service

EXPERT ALERTS

An industry exclusive, Expert Alerts is a proactive monitoring system that automatically notifies dealers (with a customer's permission) of potential machine issues. This allows technicians to diagnose issues remotely and fix them before they become a problem.

HOW IT WORKS

With your consent, your local dealer can set up Expert Alerts on your machine to analyze telematics data to proactively identify potential component failures. With this advanced notification, technicians can make repairs at a convenient time for you with minimal disruption to your operation or bottom line.

REMOTE DISPLAY ACCESS

Dealer support in near real time
With your consent, your dealer can remotely assist you with in-cab display setup and adjustments for optimal machine performance.

HOW IT WORKS

To enable Remote Display Access, your machine must be factory-equipped or field-installed with the following:

• Gen 4 or GreenStar™ 3 (GS3) 2630 Display
• JDLink™ 4G MTG or other MTG with active service
• Ethernet Cable
• Also make sure you have a valid MyJohnDeere account and appropriate partnerships set up in the John Deere Operations Center.
