Many of these jobs require frequent stops and starts and the 6M Open Operator Station Tractor provides easy entry and exit from the operator platform with two handles supporting the operator. Open station tractors offer great visibility, which can be crucial for tasks that require precise maneuvering, such as working in tight spaces or around obstacles. Operators can enjoy the direct connection they have with their surroundings and appreciate the ability to communicate with others around the tractor.
The 6M OOS delivers a more productive, comfortable, and efficient experience through customizable options. Several options are available to let you configure your 6M OOS to fit any operation including:
- PowrQuad™ Transmissions w/ left hand reverser for quick and easy change of directions with optional creeper speeds
- Right-hand Console and Standard Seat allowing for seat swivel of 5°to the left/20° to the right to provide great visibility and control
- Pressure compensated hydraulic system with an optional pressure flow compensated system providing up to 114 l/min (30.1 g/min) flow and up to 3 rear SCVs
- Manual Telescopic Mirrors for increased visibility and awareness of surroundings
- Floor Mat to provide a safe and clean operator station
- Work lights to extend operating hours and support jobs in low light conditions
Right-hand Console controls
The Right-hand Console provides an enhanced customer experience through intuitive controls you needed for daily work at your fingertips, such as the transmission, loader joystick (optional), rear hitch, and PTO controls.
Operator Seats
You can choose between the Economy Seat and the Standard Seat. The Standard Seat comes with additional features,
such as Mechanical Lumbar Support for a more comfortable operator experience and a Swivel that provides a 15° angle
to the left and a 20° angle to the right.
Engine
The high-power output of the John Deere 4-cylinder, 4.5L (274.6-cu in.) engine and the 6-cylinder, 6.8L (415-cu in.) engine is made possible by refined, four-valve, high-pressure common rail (HPCR) technology with an injection pressure of up to 2500 bar (36,259.4 psi). The 6M OOS leverages different levels of technology and turbocharger configurations to efficiently deliver peak performance throughout the portfolio.
Reversible fan
Optimize engine performance in dusty environments by utilizing the optional reversible fan technology available on all 6M OOS Tractors. The reversible fan allows the operator to quickly clean radiator screens from the comfort of the operator station. By manually activating the system with a switch in the operator station, the radiator fan blades blow out dust and debris away from the radiator. This enables the engine to run cooler, resulting in fuel savings, less downtime, and overall increased efficiency.
Customers rely on the 6M Open Operator Station tractor for many different applications such as cultivating, seeding, harvesting, transport, etc. This requires a reliable and efficient transmission to support the unique requirements of the various applications. The 6M Open Operator Station allows the customer to select the controls and speeds to best fit their applications.
Operators will have the ability to select transmission solutions offering:
- Speeds ranging from 30k/h (19 mph) to 40k/h (25 mph).
- Creeper options with minimum ground speed of 0.16 km/h (0.1 mph).
PowrQuad™ transmission
PowrQuad™ transmissions feature a partial PowerShift technology. An operator selects a desired range using the range lever on the right-hand console and the gears using the gear lever right beside the range lever. For specialty uses like vegetable, orchard and other operations that need extremely slow speeds, creeper speeds are available with the PowrQuad™ transmission.
